Our Physiotherapists and Chiropractors can provide Shockwave Therapy as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that can accelerate healing of injury. Shockwave therapy accelerates the healing process in the body by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue. Strong energy pulses are applied to the affected area for short periods of time, creating micro-cavitation bubbles that expand and burst. The force created by these bubbles stimulates cells in the body that are responsible for bone and connective tissue healing.

Common conditions that benefit from Shockwave Therapy include:
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Achilles Tendinopathy
- Tennis Elbow
- Bursitis
- Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy/Shoulder Pain
- Neck & Back Pain
- Muscle Strains & Tears
- Shin Splints
- Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)
- Stress Fractures
- Myofascial Trigger Points

Raymond grew up as a dual athlete, competing frequently in both Badminton and Basketball. Unfortunately, lack of proper recovery and physical maintenance routines from a young age led to a variety of injuries. He is no stranger to the experiences of Low Back, SI and Neck pain from a patient’s perspective. However, he has also first-handily experienced pain relief to those areas amongst other benefits through multidisciplinary care.

As a graduate of Kinesiology at York University and Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, Raymond incorporates a wide array of Fascial Stretch Techniques, Active Release, Thai Modalities and PNF as part of his Swedish and Deep Tissue massages. He is a firm believer that an effective massage consists of helping the client to understand their own conditions better. He enjoys using firm pressure to treat specific deep muscles that are otherwise difficult to access. From personal experience, Raymond would suggest that preventative therapy is the best therapy.

Outside of clinic, Raymond loves to keep active through recreational sports, cook, spend time with friends and family as well as go on hikes in nature.
